Overview
Griffin Structures served as program and construction manager for a new, comprehensive Westminster Police Department to replace the City’s previous headquarters which had been in operation since 1975. The new 88,000 square foot, three-story police services building includes a Type 1 jail facility; emergency operations center; evidence, forensics, and training rooms; offices for patrol, investigations, dispatch, administration, and all related support services. The facility was designed and constructed as an “essential services” building.
The power supply for the $52 million LEED Platinum® facility is nearly 100 percent supported by a 410 kW photovoltaic system installed on top of the adjacent four-level parking structure. Griffin also managed construction of the parking structure.
