We are delighted to announce the promotion of Robert Echavarria to the position of Project Executive. Similarly, we are proud to announce that Cody Roth will be stepping into the role of Senior Program and Construction Manager. Both employees have made lasting, positive impacts on both our organization, as well as the projects and clients we serve given their instrumental efforts on projects throughout the state. Please join us in congratulating these two exceptional members of the Griffin Structures team!

Robert Echavarria, Project Executive

Robert Echavarria steps into his new role with an impressive 23 years of industry expertise, having shaped landmark projects including the Esencia Sports Park, Cypress Lexington Park, Yorba Linda Adventure Playground, and numerous other distinguished parks and recreational facilities throughout his career.

In the mid-nineties, Echavarria embarked on a unique journey that harmoniously blended his professional baseball pursuits with an innate passion for landscape architecture. When a college freshman year injury altered his trajectory, he channeled his full attention toward landscape architecture, infusing his designs with valuable insights gained from his athletic background.

Upon completing his education, Echavarria immersed himself in the world of landscape architecture, crafting distinctive designs for prestigious hotels and casinos worldwide, including luxury golf courses in Las Vegas, Nevada. His professional path soon led him to discover his true calling in community-oriented parks and recreation design. This specialization perfectly paired with his experiences as a former baseball player, coach, and spectator, enabling him to create exceptional parks and athletic facilities for a number of municipalities nationwide.

Following 13 successful years as a Landscape Architect, Echavarria soon embraced a new role as a Program and Construction Manager with Griffin Structures. With Griffin, Robert’s diverse skill set and comprehensive experience have proven invaluable. Over the past decade, he has fostered strong partnerships with numerous public clients and design professionals to create lasting parks and recreation hubs which leave lasting impacts on the community.

Cody Roth, Senior Program & Construction Manager

Cody Roth embarks on his role as Senior Program and Construction Manager bringing comprehensive expertise demonstrated through projects such as the San Juan Capistrano Paseo Adelanto Mixed-Use Housing and City Hall, and other distinguished developments such as the award-winning Santa Clarita Canyon Country Community Center, Laguna Beach Village Entrance, and additional projects.

Growing up as the son of a Union pipe fitter, Cody’s foundation in construction began early, spending his formative years immersed in construction sites working alongside his father. Following his graduation from high school, he pursued a career as a firefighter, an experience that instilled in him the rigorous work ethic and technical mindset that would become instrumental in the future. As his family grew, Cody redirected his focus toward academic pursuits, focusing his studies in all things building code and compliance related. This educational path naturally led him to serve as an inspector for multiple municipalities within the County of Orange. During his time as a Building and Public Works Inspector, Cody developed a profound understanding of construction processes, excelling in collaborative environments and mastering complex problem-solving approaches that inspired him to delve deeper into this professional path.

In the pursuit of broadening his understanding of the process, Cody set his sights on becoming a Construction Manager, eventually leading him to join the Griffin Structures team. Seven years later, Cody has guided a number of teams into transforming complex projects into reality and ensuring every structure is built with precision, dedication and a commitment to excellence. His journey is one that underlines a commitment to personal growth and willingness to embrace new challenges within an ever-evolving, dynamic industry.
