Overview
Griffin Structures provided program and construction management for the design and construction of the complete site renovation of the Marguerite Aquatics Complex in Mission Viejo.
The $11 million project consisted of the complete demolition of most site elements, including the iconic dive tower. The existing pools were taken down to their concrete shells.
The new, iconic multi-platform dive tower, the only tower on the west coast large enough to accommodate synchronized diving, is a focal point for project. Other elements included the full renovation of the competition pool and adjacent recreational activities pool, two new mechanical buildings, pre-fabricated office and storage buildings, multiple shade structures, bleachers and a grand stand, dry-land training pits for the dive program, and a warming pool/spa.
Designed by RJM Design Group and Aquatic Design Group, the project was completed on schedule and within budget. The Marguerite Aquatics complex is home to the renowned Nadadores swimming and diving programs that have produced several Olympians.
