Laguna Beach Village Entrance

The Village Entrance project will enhance aesthetics at this key transition intersection linking Laguna Canyon Road and the downtown area. Improvements will include additional landscaping and a protected pedestrian/bicycle pathway.

Griffin provided construction management and inspection services for an enhanced entry to the Laguna Beach downtown area from Laguna Canyon Road. Planning for this $11 million project included an extensive community outreach component along with management and selection assistance of the design and construction teams.

The project focuses on improved circulation and traffic flow, creating a safe environment for pedestrians, bicycles and vehicles. Project elements feature surface parking for 370 vehicles and more than 100 bicycles; new pedestrian pathways; lighting and enhanced landscaping including 120 new trees.

The two-year phased construction schedule ensured parking availability during the busy summer tourist seasons.
