Inglewood Main Library & Innovation Center Renovation

This transformative project aims to create a modern, vibrant space that better meets the community’s changing needs while preserving the building’s historic architectural charm.

Griffin Structures is providing Program and Construction Management for the City of Inglewood as it embarks on the renovation of its 74,500 SF Main Library.

Initially constructed in 1973 as component of the Inglewood Civic Center Complex, this renovation will include a seismic retrofit of the Main Library, with strengthening and bracing throughout the building to address potential damage from future earthquakes. The interior space will also be significantly renovated and re-configured to meet the needs of the public with an emphasis on future flexibility.

The project will also include improvements to electrical infrastructure, technology, and the re-imagining of the Children’s Library and Teen Center.
