Salinas El Gabilan Branch Library

"The new El Gabilan Library will be an historic event in our City’s progress toward a new renaissance era. Thank you for being a great partner."

City of Salinas

The team of Griffin Structures and Swinerton Builders served as the development team for the new El Gabilan Branch Library in the City of Salinas. This facility was delivered utilizing a Public-Private Partnership (P3), which provided for the design, financing, construction, and delivery of the new library. The building was delivered finished and furnished as a turnkey project.

Griffin | Swinerton team worked with Anderson Brulé Architects, the City’s selected architect, to round out the team with services necessary to move the El Gabilan Library project from the final schematic design to a fully constructed, equipped building with associated parking and site development.

The new 21,000 square foot, two-story building facility replaces the City’s existing library and features learning spaces for children, teen and adults, community rooms, and a welcoming courtyard.

The integrated P3 delivery method resulted in a cost-effective, time-efficient facility.
