Bloomington Library

This project is unique in its attachment to an affordable housing development.

Griffin Structures, in collaboration with the Related Companies, initiated this project following a detailed needs assessment of the Bloomington Library. The initial scope included meeting with the County of San Bernardino and its staff to determine the service population and staffing objectives for this unincorporated community.  Later, design and construction management review were provided as subsequent phases of work including constructability reviews, estimating, and related services.

This project is unique in its attachment to an affordable housing development. A synergy of community-related services helps not only the nearby residents but a wide range of residents in the community. The five-acre mixed-use development includes the Bloomington Branch Library, 190 affordable senior and family units, and two community centers that provide after school programs and educational classes. Griffin was also involved in the development and planning of residential community spaces.
