Rancho Cordova Mills Crossing Civic Center

Griffin|Swinerton in partnership with the City of Rancho Cordova is developing a civic amenity right in the heart the Rancho Cordova community. Delivered as a Public-Private Partnership (P3), the goal is to develop a 10-acre, city-owned parcel into a beautiful urban hub and economic catalyst for the community that focuses on the arts, health and wellness, cultural and community space, creative maker spaces, housing and retail.

In December 2021, City Council approved a general site plan for Mills Crossing, including up to 100,000 to 120,000 SF of community/commercial space for arts, health and wellness, and workforce/maker/incubator uses, approximately 2.3 acres of outdoor plazas and park  space, and 100 to 120 housing units of urban style townhomes and apartments. A little more than half of the housing units, 55 to 60, would be designated as affordable. A three-story parking garage is also included.

The vision for the Rancho Cordova – Mills Crossing Civic Center will emphasize cultural, recreational, commercial, residential, and community serving programs. As a place to connect and a catalyst for local businesses, the project will also be a citizen-focused destination for arts and culture, supporting community health, wellness, recreation, and fun.
