Congratulations to the cities of Mission Viejo and Rancho Cucamonga on their American Public Works Association/Southern California Chapter projects of the year.

Mission Viejo’s $11 million comprehensive renovation of the Marguerite Aquatics Complex was named project of the year in the Recreational & Athletic Facilities category (pop. 50,000-100,000); while the new $14 million Rancho Cucamonga Sport Center received project of the year honors in the Building category (pop. 100,0000-200,000). Both of these projects provide valued recreational opportunities to their communities.
