Yorba Linda Library and Arts Center

The new Library will accommodate the community's changing needs and increased demands for services and materials. This site will incorporate an Arts Center to address needs identified in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan as well as outdoor areas for community events.

Griffin is serving as construction manager for a new two-story 45,000 square-foot library and 13,500 square-foot arts center. Library features will include a secure outdoor children’s area; expanded collections areas; dedicated spaces for story time, teens and tweens; small group study rooms; a community room and flexible classroom space; Friends of the Library book store; and improved technology features. The Arts Center will feature a flexible 250-seat black box theater with state-of-the-art sound system, art and dance studios, and gallery display space.

The campus-like environment will feature a central paseo between the two structures, dedicated outdoor plazas and a great lawn providing space for additional programming. Designs for the 4.7 acre site include drop-off areas, access for specialized backstage theater equipment, a 234-space parking area, on-site runoff capture, and native and drought-tolerant landscaping.
